I am Sarah Ankerman, a Southern California hair stylist and makeup artist. I specialize in natural looking hair and makeup services for Weddings and TV/Film. Services include High Definition Makeup Application, Airbrush Makeup, False Lashes, and Hair Styling. In the salon, I specialize in natural looking, sun-kissed blonding services.

I am truly passionate about what I do, because it allows me to build new relationships and meet people that I may not have had the opportunity to otherwise. I am truly blessed to do what I love! One of my favorite things about my “job” is building lasting relationships with my clients, long after their event.

  I discovered my passion for hair and makeup artistry as a dancer on a competitive Latin and Ballroom dance team while attending UC Davis. I often helped my team members with their hair and makeup for competitions, and always loved creating different looks. After graduating from UC Davis, I moved to San Diego where I pursued my love of this art form. In 2014, I attended makeup artistry school in Los Angeles and continue to always further my craft with classes.  After attending school, I started working full time as the lead makeup artist for a TV news live shot station in San Diego. My work has been featured on Fox News Channel, CNN, MSNBC, HLN, Fox Business, CBS, Syfy Network, E! , and KPBS.

Fun Facts

* I love dancing!  I love line dancing and used to compete in Latin and Ballroom in college.

*I was pre-vet at UC Davis and worked as a veterinary technician assistant for 10 years.

*I'm obsessed with all things having to do with the 50s-70s.  I especially love the music, decor, architecture, and cars!
